The Woodland boys soccer team took a 2-1 lead by halftime and added six tallies in the second half on their way for an 8-1 victory Tuesday night at Adairsville. Chris Sanchez and Hunter Echols scored two goals each for the Wildcats. Joel Alerto, Allan Pineda, Kevin Moreno, and Jesus Ortega added the other Woodland goals.
Woodland (5-3) opens Region 7-AAAAA play Friday night at home against Blessed Trinity.
Adairsville plays at Darlington Wednesday.
