Woodland, Cartersville track and field teams compete in Rome Invitational

The 2022 Rome Track and Field Invitational always features an outstanding field of competitors and this year’s event was no exception.
The girls and boys teams from Woodland and Cartersville all competed Saturday with 21 other schools.
The Alexander girls won the meet with 127.93 points ahead of Marietta (83.43) and Landmark Christian (80). The Lady Canes finished in a tie for 15th place and the Lady Cats were 20th.
The Marietta boys won the 2022 Rome title with 120.5 points. Parkview (81) was second with Alexander (70) placing third. The Woodland boys placed 11th with Cartersville finishing 12th.

Cartersville competes this Thursday at the Central-Carroll Invitational. Woodland will compete Wednesday in a meet at Kennesaw Mountain High School.
