Woodland, Cass girls lose region games Friday night
The Blessed Trinity girls soccer team stayed on the attack for most of the game Friday night at Woodland and took more than 30 shots on goal to earn a 10-0 Region 7-AAAAA win. “Blessed Trinity has a very strong team,” said Woodland girls coach Nicole Heiser. “They kept us on defense the majority of the game. Our goalkeeper, Chloe Ravish, had over 20 saves. I was happy with the way the girls kept fighting, however, until the last whistle.”
The Lady Titans improved to 8-1-1 on the season and 1-0 in region play.
Woodland (2-5-1, 0-1) travels to Cosa Tuesday for a non-region match at 5:30 p.m. and will host Hiram in region play Friday at 5:30 p.m.

The Cass girls stayed close in the first half, trailing 3-2 at halftime but Calhoun added another trio of goals in the second half to defeat the Lady Colonels Friday night at Cochran Stadium, 6-2.
The Lady Jackets improved to 5-4-1 overall and 1-0 in league play with their win.
Cass (3-6, 0-1) hosts Armuchee in non-region action Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. and travels to Cartersville for a region game Friday at 5:30 p.m.
