Woodland hosts 20th annual Run at the Rock

The Lady Cats finished fourth and the Woodland boys were fifth on Saturday as the Wildcats hosted the 20th annual Run at the Rock cross country invitational.
The Woodland girls finished fourth in the nine-team field. River Ridge won the team title, followed by North Cobb and Cherokee.
Allison Snead (23:09) led the Lady Cats with a 14th-place finish. Rylee Maxwell (15th, 23:12) and Tatum Currier (21st, 24:10) followed closely. Isabel McCafferty (43rd, 26:32) and Ariel Salter-Bigger (70th, 31:32) had top-five finishes for Woodland.
The Woodland boys placed fifth in the 14-team field. River Ridge won the team championship, followed by Cherokee and North Cobb.
Charlie Hennington (11th, 18:45) was the top runner for the Wildcats. Julian Medina (22nd, 19:22), Logan Marr (35th, 20:15), Anderson Bridges (45th, 20:41), and Grant Davenport (66th, 21:38) had scoring runs for Woodland.
Booker Gearhard (8th, 18:25) represented Cass with a top-ten finish in the boys’ varsity race.
Next for Woodland is the Dinh Memorial Trail Mix Invitational on Wednesday in Kennesaw and the Wingfoot Cross Country Classic on Saturday at Sam Smith Park in Cartersville.
Cass will participate in the Wingfoot Classic on Saturday.
