Woodland, Adairsville soccer teams blank opponents

Both Woodland soccer teams and the Adairsville Lady Tigers achieved shutouts Tuesday night.
WOODLAND GIRLS 10, GORDON CENTRAL 0
The Lady Cats scored seven goals in the first half and finished off a road win at Gordon Central in the 68th minute Tuesday evening in Calhoun.
Ansley Burns achieved a hat trick and contributed an assist for Woodland. Additionally, seven other Lady Cats scored a goal: Maddie Weightman, Libby Morgan, Jackie Arias, Sammie Espinoza, Carlie Forman, Bri Carver, and Karyme Hernandez.
Morgan added three assists, and Espinoza had two assists. Weightman and Carver added one assist.
The loss dropped Gordon Central to a 3-8 record.
The Lady Cats (5-8) play at Adairsville on Thursday at 5:30 p.m.
WOODLAND BOYS 3, GORDON CENTRAL 0

The Wildcats broke the ice in the 32nd minute of the first half Tuesday night for a 1-0 halftime lead and added to their advantage in the second half for a 3-0 victory at Gordon Central.
Juan Mendoza scored the first goal for Woodland off an assist from Marvin Morales.
Deiby Sanchez gave the Wildcats a 2-0 lead early in the second half with an unassisted goal in the 47th minute. Aiden Carrillo added a third goal with just under nine minutes remaining.
Woodland (4-10) plays at Adairsville on Thursday.
ADAIRSVILLE GIRLS 10, PEPPERELL 0
On Tuesday, the Lady Tigers cruised to an easy 10-0 home win over Pepperell. Adairsville led 6-0 at the intermission and wrapped up the victory in the 55th minute.
Alexa Damer had three goals and one assist. Ella Edwards scored two goals and had one assist. Sam Gough contributed two goals and two assists. Carly Edwards produced one goal and two assists. Zonya Gomez-Prerez and Alivia Joslin scored one goal. Braylynn Martin added one assist.
The Lady Tigers (10-3) host Woodland on Thursday at 5:30 p.m.
ADAIRSVILLE BOYS 2, PEPPERELL 0
The Tigers defeated visiting Pepperell 2-0 in a non-region match and improved to 6-7 on the season.
The loss dropped the Dragons to 2-10.
Adairsville hosts Woodland on Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
