The Woodland Wildcats got off to a lightning-fast start and never looked back, shutting out the East Paulding Raiders 3-0 in a boys' high school soccer match.

Robin Evrard scored in the first minute off an assist from Aiden Carrillo to give Woodland an immediate 1-0 lead. Just 10 minutes later, Hunter Limbaugh drilled a free kick from the 40-yard line into the net, extending the advantage to 2-0 by the 11th minute. The Wildcats took that two-goal cushion into halftime.

Evrard added his second goal of the match in the 63rd minute, this time set up by Danny Chavez, to cap the scoring at 3-0.

Woodland goalkeeper Seth Goodall needed just one save to preserve the clean sheet.

The loss dropped the Raiders to 6-12 on the season.

The victory improved the Wildcats’ record to 7-8. Woodland will return home to host Bremen on Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
