Woodland softball drops decision at Haralson

Haralson County scored six runs in the first inning Monday evening, which launched the Lady Rebels to a 9-0 win over visiting Woodland.
The hosts took advantage of an infield error, two doubles, an RBI single, and a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the first to lead 6-0. Two more errors and a sac fly in the fourth led to the Rebels’ three runs in the fourth inning.
Charli West pitched all five innings for Haralson County (1-1), allowing just two hits and two walks while fanning three.
Bella Kuykendall (4 IP, 9R, 3ER, 6H, 0BB) did the pitching for the Wildcats. Charlotte Petersen had both hits for Woodland.
Woodland (0-2) hosts Dalton on Tuesday at 5:55 p.m. The Lady Cats also host Cass on Thursday at 5:55 p.m.
