Woodland swimming leads local teams at Northwest Georgia Invitational

Woodland finished ninth of 20 participating schools in the combined team scores on Saturday at the Northwest Georgia Swimming and Diving Invitational hosted by Calhoun.
The host Yellow Jackets won the meet with 739 points. Blessed Trinity (563) and Pace Academy (476) finished second and third, respectively. Woodland scored 186 points, while Adairsville was tenth (157) and Cass was 12th (70).
The Woodland girls were seventh with the Cass girls, and the Adairsville boys finished in ninth place.

Adairsville will participate in the Region 7-AAA Championships on Tuesday at Calhoun. The Tigers will host the Paw Power Meet on Saturday and the Adairsville Last Chance Meet on January 26.
Cass will host Pickens and Gilmer on Tuesday at the Adairsville facility. The Colonels will also face Cartersville on January 27.
Woodland will face Cartersville on Thursday at the Adairsville pool, and will compete in the Paw Power and Last Chance Meets at Adairsville on Saturday and January 26.
