Woodland tennis suffers losses to Model

The Woodland High School tennis teams played abbreviated matches with Model on Thursday with the Wildcats picking up three singles wins in a pair of team losses.

Caleigh Williams and Kathryn Kovacic of the Woodland girls won Line 1 and Line 2 singles matches. Williams was a 6-4, 6-4 victor and Kovacic won on Line 2, 7-5, 6-0. Diana Librado fell at Line 3 singles, 4-6, 1-6 while Ellie Holt and Ella Bridges lost a Line 1 doubles match 3-6, 1-6.

In boys' action, Dominic Ciavarro won 6-4, 6-4 in a Line 3 singles match. Peter Heins lost 1-6, 0-6 on Line 1 and Cadyn Wade dropped a narrow 2-6, 6-3, 3-10 decision on Line 2.

Woodland hosts Cass on Tuesday.
