Woodland track and field teams compete at Rome Relays
The Woodland girls placed eighth and the boys were tenth Saturday at the 13-team Rome Relays held at Barron Stadium.
Carrollton, who scored 123.5 points in the girls events and 176 on the boys side won both titles. The Etowah (88.5) and Grady (71.5) girls finished second and third. The North Atlanta (91.5) and East Paulding (69.75) boys placed second and third.
Top results for the Woodland boys:
— Drew Thayer placed third (7:22.90) in the 2000M Steeplechase.
— 4x400M relay team of Justin Guillemette, Logan Bennett, John Forsyth, and Tyler Thurman placed seventh in 3:39.25.
— 4x800M relay team consisting of Kain Tanturri, Tyler Jones, Patrick Bollwerk, and John Forsyth placed seventh in 9:09.66.
— 4x1600M relay team of Patrick Bollwerk, Andy Forsyth, McKinley Chappell, and Tyler Jones finished fifth in 19:34.05.
— Distance medley team of Tyler Jones, John Forsyth, Patrick Bollwerk, and McKinley Chappell placed fourth in 11:24.60.
— Noah Baer was seventh in the pole vault with a vault of 9-06.00.
— Jeremiah Rhodes finished fifth in shot put at 40-08.

— Danielle Thayer placed second in the 2000M Steeplechase with a time of 9:16.46.
— 4x800M relay team of Olivia Berry, Emma Segars, Danielle Thayer, and Rylee Evans finished fourth in 10:47.81
— 4x1600M relay team of Marlee Bowles, Erica Boatner, Emma Segars, and Danielle Thayer placed third with a finals time of 26:08.81.
— The Lady Cats’ distance medley team consisting of Olivia Berry, Emma Segars, Danielle Thayer, and Rylee Evans finished fourth in 13:33.22.
— Emmie Berry placed fourth with a pole vault of 9-00.
— Bruklyn Cantu placed fourth in the discus with a throw of 82-04.
— Jewell Littlefield was eighth in the girls triple jump with a mark of 28-02.
Woodland will host the Bartow County Track and Field Championships Thursday.
