Woodland Wrestling wins Class 5A Sectional tournament; 22 local wrestlers advance to the Class 5A State Tourney

Woodland Wrestling won the Class 5A Section A tournament Saturday held at Harris County High School.
The Wildcats finished with 126 points followed by Dalton (92), Cass (89), Coffee (79), and Ware County (79) in the top five. Cartersville (58) placed sixth.
The sectional at Harris County was one of two in the 5A classification. The top six wrestlers in each weight division from each sectional have advanced to next weekend’s Class 5A State Championship Tournament at the Macon Centreplex. The tournament will begin on Thursday with state title bouts on Saturday.
