Woodland wrestling wins McCallie Invite in record fashion; Adairsville competes at Smoky Mt. Duals


The Woodland High School wrestling team set a new scoring record by 17 points with a dozen total placers, six finalists, and three tournament champions as the Wildcats won the McCallie Wrestling Invitational Tournament Friday and Saturday in Chattanooga.

Woodland finished with 307 team points. The host school, McCallie, was second with 225. Chattooga (217), Woodward Academy (172), and Northwest Whitfield (158) rounded out the top five in the field of 17 schools.
