Cartersville volleyball captures county title

Cartersville volleyball once again captured the Bartow County Championship Saturday in action at Adairsville High School.

The Lady Canes won three matches — all in straight sets — to take the 2020 title and their 14th consecutive Bartow title. Cartersville opened with a 25-23 and 25-21 win over Woodland in the opening round. That match would be the tightest score of the day.

Cartersville reached the championship round by defeating Adairsville 25-22 and 25-12 before topping Woodland in a finals rematch 25-12 and 25-17.

Woodland was 2-2 on the day with a win over Cass 25-13 and 25-13 to go with a 25-15 and 25-12 victory over Adairsville.

Adairsville avenged an earlier season loss to Cass in the opening round. The Tigers eased past the Colonels 25-11 and 25-13. #Cartersville #Woodland #Adairsville #Cass #volleyball
