Both Cartersville basketball teams picked up home wins Tuesday night over Rockmart and the Cass girls won a non-region matchup at Dunwoody. CARTERSVILLE GIRLS 58, ROCKMART 39 The Lady Canes took a 17-8 lead by the end of the first quarter Tuesday night at the Storm Center and never trailed in a 58-39 win over visiting Rockmart. Cartersville led the Lady Jackets 31-18 at halftime and 52-25 by the end of the third period. Nayel Camper and Ansley Griffin led the Lady Canes’ scoring with 18 and 16 points, respectively. Jakayah Draughn scored seven. Campbell Rogers, KK Arnold, and Senai Camper finished with four points each. Miley Jo Williams contributed three and Taff Bradley added two points in the home win. Sky Meyers led Rockmart (3-10) with 17 points. The Lady Canes (7-3) play at Cedartown Saturday at 5 p.m. CARTERSVILLE BOYS 69, ROCKMART 57 The Purple Hurricanes came from behind in the fourth quarter Tuesday night at the Storm Center to defeat visiting Rockmart, 69-57. The score was knotted at 19 each at the end of the first quarter and the Yellow Jackets held narrow leads of 37-35 at halftime and 53-52 at the end of the third quarter. The Canes outscored Rockmart 17-4 in the fourth quarter to secure their 12-point win. Jamauri Brice led Cartersville with 18 points. Romo Pace followed with 12. Jaylen Scott and Sam Wiedetz finished with eight points each. Monte Tolbert scored six. Kaden Baldwin and Collin Fletcher contributed five points each. DJ Cain chipped in with four points and Parnel Gamble added three for the Hurricanes. Tyler Crumley scored 20 points to lead Rockmart (7-6). Dennis Sims and Tristan Anderson added 12 and 10 points, respectively. Cartersville (5-6) plays another non-region game Saturday at Cedartown at 6:30 p.m. CASS GIRLS 63, DUNWOODY 40 The Lady Colonels ran away from host Dunwoody in the second quarter Tuesday night and finished off a 63-40 win over the Lady Wildcats. Following a close first quarter, Cass outscored Dunwoody 23-5 in the second quarter to build a 36-15 lead at the intermission. The Lady Colonels maintained their advantage in the section half for a 23-point win. Mikaela Jackson led Cass in the scoring column with 19 points. Olivia Woods followed with 13 and Kiana McDaniel finished with a double-double that included 10 rebounds, 10 assists, and eight points. KK Evans contributed seven points, five boards, and three steals. Darianna Sosa scored six. Kaitlyn Godwin tossed in five points. Nevaeh Woods had three points and Cadie Paez added two for the Lady Colonels. Grace Brinson paced Dunwoody (1-10) with 11 points. Cass (12-2) begins Region 7-5A play next Tuesday (Jan. 10) at home against Calhoun.

The Cartersville girls and boys basketball teams returned to action Monday night at the Storm Center to kick off the new year but both came up short against visiting Harrison in non-region contests. HARRISON 62, CARTERSVILLE GIRLS 52 The Lady Canes kept it close for most of the night, but the visiting Hoyas held on in the second half for a 10-point win. Harrison, led by Holley Turner’s 23 points, was up 30-24 at halftime and 48-37 after three quarters. Alex McElroy made four, three-pointers and was 4-for-4 at the free throw line to finish with 16 points for the Hoyas. Cartersville was led in scoring by Jakayah Draughn with 15 points and Ansley Griffin with 12. Taff Bradley followed with eight points. Nayel Campbell scored seven. Zoey Casey tossed in four points. Campbell Rogers, KK Arnold, and Senai Campbell added two each. HARRISON 50, CARTERSVILLE BOYS 37 A strong defensive effort helped Harrison to a 27-14 lead by halftime and the Hoyas matched Cartersville in the second half for a 50-37 non-region win Monday night at the Storm Center. Jordan Howe and Will Smith led the Hoyas with 17 and 16 points, respectively. “We struggled offensively,” said Canes’ head coach Mike Tobin. “Harrison played sound defense and they hurt us on the glass. I was pleased with our defensive effort in the fourth quarter.” The Canes outscored Harrison 12-6 in the final period. Romo Pace led Cartersville with eight points. Kaden Baldwin followed with six. Jamauri Brice finished with five points. Cedric McClinic and Collin Fletcher scored four each. Chandler Mathison and Monte Tolbert contributed three points apiece. Sam Wiedetz and Tyren Milner added two each. The Lady Canes (6-3) and Hurricanes (4-6) host Rockmart Tuesday night starting at 6 p.m. and will travel to Cedartown Saturday starting at 5 p.m.

The Cass wrestling team hosted and won the 2022 Guerrilla Warfare Duals Friday with wins over Villa Rica (63-18), Cedartown (60-18), North Paulding (43-29), and Ola (42-29), and an individual winner-take-all championship bout between two of the top 120-pound competitors in the state. During the four preliminary round duals, Jake Crapps, wrestling in either the 126-pound weight class or 132-pounds, pinned all four of his opponents. Tyler McKnight (144) also went 4-0 with three wins by pinfall. Lee Camp (106) was 3-0 with all three wins by pin. Alex Castenado (113) and Zach McKnight (165/175) both completed the day with 3-0 marks. Jayden Taylor (120) and Kriecg Roe (157) won both of their bouts. Alan Oliver (138) pinned his opponent in his only bout of the day. Other top performances for the Colonels included Eli Doolittle (150/157), who finished the day 3-1 with all three of the wins by pinfall. Parker Dunn (190) finished 3-1 with one pin and Tanner Toups (138) was 2-1 with a pair of pins. With both Cass and Rockmart finishing 4-0 in their respective pools, the championship was going to be a rematch of a dual competition from earlier in the season. In lieu of that repeat, coach Drew Lindsey of Rockmart and coach D.L. Koontz of Cass agreed to do a one-bout, winner-take-all between Jake Crapps of Cass and TK Davis of Rockmart. Both wrestlers are defending state champions and both have received national accolades in the 120-pound weight class. The match was not only dramatic, but it did not disappoint as the two individuals took on the weight of the tournament championship for their respective teams. Davis led 5-3 after the first period but Crapps caught up in the second period to knot the score at 6-6. An exciting third period saw the two grapplers still knotted at 8-8, so they proceeded to a one-minute, sudden-death overtime period. In the OT, Crapps managed to takedown Davis and clinched the win for the Colonels. Friday evening, Koontz shared his thoughts on the individual final. “With region tournaments coming next weekend, these two studs put on a heck of a show. They put all the pressure on themselves for their teams and showed all those in attendance why they are two of the top wrestlers the state of Georgia has to offer.” The overall final team standings had Cass on top followed by Rockmart, Mt. Pisgah, Ola, North Paulding, and Cartersville. Next Saturday, January 7, Cartersville High School will host the Region 7-5A Duals Championship. That tournament will include Cartersville, Woodland, and Cass along with Dalton, Hiram, and Calhoun. Also next Saturday, Adairsville will be in competition in the Area 5 Duals at Bremen High School. That tournament includes Adairsville, Bremen, Carver-Atlanta, Cedar Grove, Douglas-Atlanta, and Sandy Creek.

Friday night, the Cartersville boys' basketball team avenged an earlier loss this season with a 52-47 victory over Sonoraville. It was the final game at the Pickens Holiday Classic in Jasper for both teams. The Canes finished 2-1 this week in their three-game visit to the holiday event. As for that earlier season meeting with the Phoenix, Sonoraville took a 70-56 victory back on December 13 in Gordon County. Friday night’s matchup was close throughout and included several lead changes. The Purple Hurricanes led 21-15 at the end of the first quarter but the Phoenix grabbed leads of 29-28 and 40-39 at the intermission and the end of the third period. Cartersville limited Sonoraville to only seven points in the final quarter, however, to collect the victory. “It was a great team effort,” said Canes’ head coach Mike Tobin. “Sam Wiedetz came up big in the second half directing our offense. Kaden Baldwin hit a big three-pointer late in the game to cut our deficit to one and our rally just continued from that point.” Jamauri Brice led the Canes’ scoring attack with 12 points. Baldwin and Romo Pace followed with nine each. Monte Tolbert tossed in six points. Tyren Milner finished with five. Wiedetz and DJ Cain scored four each. Cedric McClinic and Jaylen Scott added two and one, respectively. Donovan McDaniel scored a game-high 20 points to lead Sonoraville (9-4). Cartersville (4-5) hosts Class 7A Harrison Monday night and Rockmart Tuesday night at the Storm Center. Both games are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. starts.

The South Paulding boys won the 2022 Adairsville Christmas Clash Friday night with a 78-49 win over the host Tigers while North Laurel (Kentucky) captured the girls’ title with a win over Murray County. SOUTH PAULDING 78, ADAIRSVILLE BOYS 49 In the boys’ championship game of the 2022 Christmas Clash, Class 6A South Paulding outscored Adairsville 22-5 in the second quarter and cruised through the second half for a 78-49 title win. Jeremiah Taylor led the Spartans (10-3) with 20 points. Andrew Lavigne and David Williams both added 13 in the South Paulding win. Zach Postell had 15 points for the Tigers. Zach Weaver added 10 for Adairsville. The Tigers (9-5) will look to bounce back Tuesday at Sonoraville in a 7:30 p.m. tip. CALHOUN 58, ADAIRSVILLE GIRLS 28 The Lady Jackets used a huge second quarter Friday afternoon to pull away from the Lady Tigers in a 58-28 win. The contest was the consolation finals of the Adairsville Christmas Clash. Calhoun led 7-6 at the end of the first quarter but surged to a 31-11 lead by halftime. Poritiya Curtis led Calhoun (10-3) with 19 points. Lauren Watson and Sa’Niah Dorsey added 16 each for the Lady Jackets. Alissa Winters led Adairsville with 11 points. The Lady Tigers (8-4) travel to Sonoraville Tuesday for a 6 p.m. tip.

The Cass girls and boys basketball teams won their consolation bracket games Friday afternoon at Riverbend Park in Dalton as both finished up their participation in the Chick-Fil-A Classic. The Lady Colonels finished 2-1 in the event with a 64-53 win over Coahuila Creek. The Colonels got their only win of the three-game set with a 71-54 victory over Johnson-Gainesville. CASS GIRLS 64, COAHULLA CREEK 53 Kiana McDaniel scored 18 points, grabbed seven rebounds, and dished out six assists Friday afternoon as the Lady Colonels beat Coahuila Creek 64-53 in the consolation finals of the Chick-Fil-A Classic at Riverbend Park in Dalton. Cass held narrow leads of 15-11, 27-25, and 43-39 at the ends of the first three quarters. The Lady Colonels then drained four three-pointers and made 5-of-8 free throws down the stretch to seal the victory. Olivia Woods followed McDaniel with 17 points. Mikaela Jackson had seven points and eight rebounds. Darianna Sosa and Nevaeh Woods scored six each. Reese Howard finished with five points. Cadie Paez and KK Evans added three and two points, respectively. Shea Poe led the Colts (7-5) with a game-high 26 points. Cass (11-2) plays at Dunwoody Tuesday night at 6 p.m. CASS BOYS 71, JOHNSON-GAINESVILLE 54 The Colonels defense clamped down in the third quarter Friday afternoon and salvaged their final game at the Chick-Fil-A Classic in Dalton by beating winless Johnson-Gainesville, 71-54. The Knights outscored the Colonels 17-10 in the second quarter to take a 30-28 lead to the intermission locker room but Cass responded with a strong defensive third quarter to garner control. “We stepped up our defensive intensity after halftime and it showed,” said Cass coach Kevin Cunningham. “Our defense led to offense and when we do that the game seems easier. We had a really bad second quarter, but got it together in the second half and played well. Happy to end the tournament with a win.” Kevin Henderson came off the Colonels’ bench to lead Cass with 14 points. KJ Rogers followed with 11. Isaiah Ford scored nine points. Jakai Baldwin and Devin Henderson finished with eight apiece. Jelani Hames and Jayden Foster chipped in with six each. Sacovie White contributed four points. Jason Brown-Harmon and DJ Sams rounded out the Colonels’ scoring with three and two points, respectively. Jaiden Riley led the Knights with 18 points. Andre Hernandez added 17 for Johnson-Gainesville (0-11). Cass (6-7) is off until they host Calhoun on Tuesday, January 10 in their Region 7-5A opener.

The Excel Christian Academy boys salvaged a win Friday afternoon in their final game of the 2022 Adairsville Christmas Clash by defeating Woodland in a consolation game, 61-53. Woodland led 17-14 at the end of the first quarter and 27-25 at halftime before the Eagles surged to the lead. ECA led 40-39 by the end of the third period and outscored the Wildcats 21-14 in the final eight minutes. Excel had four players reach double-digit scoring led by Caleb Landrum’s 19 points. Kyron McClendon scored 13, Comari Nettles 12, and Jakaden Barkley finished with 11 points for the Eagles. Christian Viera chipped in four points and Kamarion Profitt added two for the Eagles. Brelace Williams scored a game-high 28 points to pace Woodland. Amir Heath had seven points. Zyon Heath and Isaiah Livsey finished with six each. Parker Collins scored four and Evan Womack added two points for the Wildcats. The December 2022 Elite Athlete of the Month for Adairsville High School is Jared Campbell. A junior on the Tigers’ swim team, Campbell is the son of Travis and Sherry Campbell. He is featured on the Adairsville roster in freestyle and breaststroke or medley events. “Jared has been a beast in practice this year,” noted Adairsville assistant swim coach Lance Hall. “He is the first swimmer in the water every day and the last out. He has dropped his time in every meet this season.” Campbell has a 3.7 GPA in Honors and Advanced Placement classes. He is also a member of the Adairsville magnet program. “Jared has made a commitment to improve and help the team this year,” Hall continued. “His work ethic is second to none. He is clearly our most improved swimmer so far this season and continues to push himself and others to improve every practice.” Jayden Foster is the December 2022 Elite Athlete of the Month representing Cass High School. Currently averaging almost 12 points per game, seven rebounds, and four assists, Foster is a junior on the Colonels’ basketball team. “Jayden has been a dependable leader at Cass both on and off the court,” said Cass boys basketball coach Kevin Cunningham. “He impacts our team with his defensive energy but he brings that effort to our practices too. He is able to play multiple positions and has helped this year’s team begin to find its stride.” Foster has performed well in the classroom also where he has earned a 3.4 GPA in his classes. He is the son of Jannelle and Brannon Foster. Cartersville High School’s December 2022 Elite Athlete of the Month is Paul Gamble. The Canes’ senior is a member of the school’s football and baseball teams where he played quarterback and will be a pitcher and outfielder this Spring. Gamble led the Purple Hurricanes to the semifinals of the Class 5A football playoffs this Fall with a 12-2 record. For the season, the signal caller was 108-for-176 passing (61%) for 1,780 yards and 20 touchdowns. He added 78 rushing attempts for 487 yards and 10 touchdowns. “Paul is a fantastic young man that is gifted in unique ways on and off the field,” said Purple Hurricanes’ football assistant Brent Rickman. “He epitomizes a Canes’ student-athlete. Our team’s success was due in large part to his performance, leadership, and willingness to serve his teammates.” The son of April Kilgore, Gamble carries a 4.1 GPA and is a member of the National Honor Society and Beta Club. His collegiate plans are currently undecided. Megan Schultz is the Elite Athlete of the Month for December 2022 representing Woodland High School. A junior, guard/wing on the Lady Cats basketball team, she currently leads the team in scoring, rebounding, and steals. She is second on the team in assists per game. "Megan is currently our team captain and a great teammate,” said Woodland basketball head coach Kyle Morgan. “We are asking a lot of Megan on both ends of the floor this season. She is required to be one of our primary ball handlers, score the ball, and make the game easier for her teammates by passing the ball to them when they are open. She often times the target of other teams' defenses. In addition, on the defensive end, she is often asked to guard the other team's best player, be our best rebounder, and get in the passing lanes for steals. She has come a long way over the years in many areas and her best basketball is still ahead of her. I look forward to seeing her continued progression as a player/leader both this season and next.” The daughter of Karen and Garth Schultz, she has a 3.88 GPA and would like to continue her basketball career in college. The Adairsville Tigers started strong Thursday night in their Christmas Clash semifinal against Murray County but had to hold off a furious charge by the Indians down the stretch for a 51-46 win. The Tigers led 27-11 at halftime and had built a 21-point lead heading into the fourth quarter, 45-24. Murray County wasn’t finished, however, and narrowed the margin to just three points late in the fourth quarter before Adairsville sealed the win. “We started well with some great ball movement and a nice defensive effort,” said Tigers head coach Alex Disbrow following the victory. “We got into foul trouble in the fourth quarter due to some bad decision-making. Give them credit for a nice comeback but Jamarion Pullum made a pair of late free throws to seal a good team win.” Xavious Nalls and Zach Postell led Adairsville with 15 and 14 points, respectively. Tay Jackson followed with nine. Ben Abernathy finished with six points. Jamarion Pullum chipped in with five and Austin White added two points for the Tigers. The Woodland girls and the Cartersville boys both dropped their opening games in holiday tournament action Wednesday. The Lady Cats lost to Chattooga in the first round of the Adairsville Christmas Clash. The Hurricanes fell to host Pickens in their initial game at the Pickens Holiday Classic. CHATTOOGA 39, WOODLAND GIRLS 27 The Chattooga girls defeated Woodland for the second time in an 11-day span Wednesday evening, 39-27. This time it was in a first round game at the Adairsville Christmas Clash. The Lady Cats stayed close most of the way trailing 20-14 at halftime, but never gained the traction needed to overtake the Lady Indians. Chattooga won the first matchup between the two teams on December 17, 50-27, at the Rome Holiday Tournament in a consolation game. Wednesday, Makiya Parrish led Chattooga with 13 points. Addyson Daniel added 10. Bailee Motes scored eight for Woodland. Kasidee Wall and Megan Schultz followed with seven apiece. Abby George contributed three points and Libby Morgan scored two for the Lady Cats. Chattooga improved to 4-7 and will play North Laurel (Kentucky) in the semifinals Thursday night at 7 p.m. Woodland (2-9) falls to the consolation bracket and will play Adairsville Thursday afternoon in a consolation semifinal at 1 p.m. PICKENS 74, CARTERSVILLE BOYS 68 A slow start by the Hurricanes was costly Wednesday night as Cartersville rallied in the second half but couldn’t catch the host Dragons in a 74-68 loss. The game was the first of three for the Canes Wednesday through Friday at the Pickens Holiday Classic in Jasper. Pickens led 19-9 after the opening quarter and was up 41-26 at halftime. Cartersville narrowed the margin to 55-45 by the end of the third quarter but the Dragons held on down the stretch for a six-point win. “We competed hard after a rough first half,” said Canes coach Mike Tobin. “We’re improving and slowly getting our basketball legs back. Pickens was 12-for-14 from the free throw line and we missed 12 free throws. You don’t win many games missing double-digit free throws.” Jaden Stewart led the Dragons with 18 points. Caleb Lanford scored 17 and Caleb Keith added 11 points for Pickens. Romo Pace pumped in a game-high 23 points for the Purple Hurricanes. Jamauri Brice followed with 14 points. Kaden Baldwin and Parnel Gamble pitched in seven each. Monte Tolbert contributed six. Cad McCline totaled four. Jaylen Scott and Tyron Milner added three and two points, respectively. “We have five more games to play before our region schedule begins,” noted Tobin. “We hope to be hitting our stride by then.”

The morning phase of the Adairsville Christmas Clash and the Dalton Chick-Fil-A Classic was not kind to local teams Wednesday in holiday tournament action. The Cass girls, who had won five straight and nine of their first ten, fell to Darlington and the Cass boys -- playing somewhat short-handed -- also had a modest win streak snapped with a loss to Walker Valley (Tennessee) in first round action in Dalton. At Adairsville High School, the Excel Christian Academy boys dropped their tournament opener to the South Paulding Spartans. SOUTH PAULDING 84, EXCEL CHRISTIAN BOYS 66 The Excel Christian Academy boys used some hot first half shooting to lead Class 6A South Paulding 40-38 at halftime, but the Spartans outscored the Eagles 23-12 in the third quarter to take command in a first round game at the Adairsville Christmas Clash Wednesday. The Spartans had five players reach double-figure scoring in their 84-66 win. Andrew Lavigne posted 19 for South Paulding. Jeremiah Taylor followed with 17 points. Giovanny Thomas contributed 14. Sean Lynch finished with 12 points and Randy Harris added 10. Jacob Taylor scored a game-high 25 points to lead Excel. Jakaden Barkley scored 14 points. Kyron McClendon finished with nine. Comari Nettles and David Jinks tossed in six each while Matthew Simon, Christian Viera, and Kamarion Profitt added two points each for the Eagles. South Paulding improved to 8-3 and moved into Thursday’s 5:30 p.m. semifinal against Calhoun. Excel Christian Academy (5-6) will play in a consolation round semifinal Thursday at 11:30 a.m. against Long County. DARLINGTON 48, CASS GIRLS 37 Slow starts in the first and third quarters did the damage for the Lady Colonels Wednesday morning in a first round 48-37 loss to Darlington at the Chick-Fil-A Classic hosted by Christian Heritage in Dalton. The Lady Colonels trailed 15-9 after one quarter and kept pace the rest of the half to trail 21-16 at the intermission. The Lady Tigers then outscored Cass 20-10 in the third period to take control and carry a 41-26 lead into the final eight minutes. Cass made a dent in the margin in the fourth quarter but Darlington (10-2) held on for an 11-point win. Kiana McDaniel led the Lady Colonels with 12 points. Nevaeh Woods followed with 10. Mikaela Jackson scored six. KK Evans finished with five points. Kaitlyn Godwin and Olivia Woods added two points each in a losing cause. Cass (9-2) will play its second of three games at the tournament Thursday in a consolation bracket semifinal against Walker Valley (Tenn.) at Dalton’s Riverbend Park at 1 p.m. WALKER VALLEY (Tenn.) 76, CASS BOYS 52 The Cass boys had a three-game win streak snapped Wednesday in the first round of the Chick-Fil-A Classic in Dalton. The Colonels, who had won five of six heading into the three-day tournament, fell to Walker Valley (Tennessee) 76-52 at Christian Heritage School. The Mustangs from Cleveland, Tennessee, took a 15-8 lead in the first quarter and never trailed. Walker Valley led 34-21 at halftime and 54-35 by the end of the third quarter. Cash Coates and Coleman Green led the Mustangs with 17 points each. Tayvon Barber and Hubert Brabson also reached double figures for Walker Valley (10-3) with 14 and 13 points, respectively. KJ Rogers scored 17 points to pace the Colonels’ scoring column. Jelani Hames finished with 13 and Isaiah Ford had 10 points for Cass. Jason Brown-Harmon, Tom Brannon, and Jakai Baldwin scored three each. Jayden Foster added two points. Cass played without Sacovie White, Kevin Henderson, and Devin Henderson who are all playing in a football all-star game. “The layoff hurt us,” said Cass boys coach Kevin Cunningham. “We didn’t shoot the ball well and did not execute on offense. When you play a good team and do not play well this is what happens. It’s a tough loss. We will regroup for tomorrow.” Cass (5-6) plays Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Dalton Riverbend Park in a consolation semifinal against North Paulding.

The Adairsville boys basketball team advanced to the semifinals of the 2022 AHS Christmas Clash Wednesday night by defeating visiting Woodland, 70-49, but the Adairsville girls lost their tournament opener to North Laurel (Kentucky), 66-41. ADAIRSVILLE BOYS 70, WOODLAND 49 The Tigers took a 36-28 lead by halftime and then outscored Woodland 15-4 in the third quarter on their way to a 70-49 first round win over the Wildcats Wednesday night. Tay Jackson led Adairsville with 18 points, Zach Postell tossed in 14, and Tre Winters scored 10 as the Tigers had three players reach double-digit scoring. Zach Weaver followed with eight. Xavious Nalls and Ben Abernathy chipped in six each. Austin White and Gabe Gomez contributed three points each and Barrett Fuller added two. Brelace Williams scored 21 points to lead the Wildcats. Isaiah Livsey followed with 16. Zyon Heath and Bryson Van Tonder finished with five each. David Byars added two points for Woodland. Woodland (2-10) will play Chattooga Thursday at 2:30 p.m. in the consolation bracket. Adairsville (8-4) reaches Thursday night’s semifinals to face Murray County at 8:30 p.m. NORTH LAUREL (Kentucky) 66, ADAIRSVILLE GIRLS 41 The North Laurel Lady Jaguars built an early lead Wednesday night at Adairsville and never looked back in a 66-41 first round win over the host Lady Tigers at the AHS Christmas Clash. North Laurel, from London, Kentucky, led at each quarter stop including a 14-5 lead at the end of the first quarter; 32-18 at halftime; and 52-29 by the end of the third period. Emily Sizemore scored a game-high 22 points to pace the visitors. Bella Sizemore and Brooke Nichelson contributed 11 points each. Naxyria Roberts scored 13 points for Adairsville. Analee Morris added 11 for the Lady Tigers. North Laurel (5-1) will face Chattooga Thursday night in the tournament semifinals at 7 p.m. Adairsville (7-3) falls to the consolation bracket Thursday afternoon at 1 p.m. and will face Woodland.
