10U Bartow Canes Baseball wins pool at Perfect Game tourney
The 10-and-under Bartow Canes Baseball club won its pool Sunday morning (May 24) to advance to the championship playoff rounds of the Perfect Game 10U Memorial Day Classic at Joe Cowan Park in Euharlee and the Cartersville Little League Park. The Bartow Canes clinched Pool A with a 4-4 tie with the East Cobb Braves. The Canes finished 2-0-1 in pool play while the Braves had an earlier pool loss. Unfortunately, the Bartow club dropped their opening round playoff game to the Georgia Dirt Dawgs 10U by a 9-3 score. That loss eliminated the Canes while the Dirt Dawgs advanced to the semifinals to meet the East Cobb Colt 45s. Members of the Bartow Canes Baseball club include: Kace Adams, Drake Carver, Harrison Childers, Collin Fletcher, Carson Hill, Najai Hogan, Denver Nale, Braden Powell, Chris Roper, Evan Sanders, and Tyler Shelton.
