Cartersville tennis teams sweep into state quarterfinals


The Cartersville girls and boys tennis teams advanced to the state quarterfinals of the Class AAAA playoffs Monday with 5-0 victories.


The girls team defeated Mary Persons and the boys swept past Perry.


The Lady Canes will now face Buford at home in the quarterfinal round. The Canes’ next opponent will be either North Hall or Eagles’ Landing. Playing dates are yet to be determined, but must be completed by April 30.
