EMERSON, Ga. (October 12, 2016) – LakePoint Sports, the premier sports vacation destination, is excited to announce a partnership with the World Famous Harlem Globetrotters. LakePoint’s new Champions Center has been selected as the host site for the Globetrotters annual training camp to be held November 28 – December 9. As a part of the partnership, LakePoint will host the Globetrotters training camp exhibition game that is open to the public on Thursday, December 8 at 7:00 p.m.

“To have a prestigious and historic organization, such as the Harlem Globetrotters, choose LakePoint as the new site of their training camp, really helps to confirm the Champions Center as one of the premier indoor sports venues in the nation,” said Earl Ehrhart, CEO of LakePoint Sporting Community. “We are excited for the opportunity to open our doors to the local community and give everyone the chance to enjoy the highly entertaining show the Globetrotters will put on.”

The exhibition game will provide fans with the opportunity to purchase general admission or floor seating. Additionally, Magic Pass, a special pre-game meet and greet with the stars of the Harlem Globetrotters, will be available for purchase.

LakePoint has also partnered with Bartow County and surrounding school districts to host a special presentation on Thursday, December 8 at 12:00 p.m. This presentation will consist of the ‘Harlem Globetrotters Experience’ and the ABC’s of Bullying Prevention, signature programs from the Harlem Globetrotters. In working with the local schools, LakePoint has extended an invitation to all area fourth graders to attend this free daytime performance and are expecting up to 2,500 students to attend. LakePoint and the Globetrotters share a similar mission to give back to the community and to make a positive impact on lives through sport.

LakePoint is honored to host this event and excited to invite the local community to experience the magic of the Harlem Globetrotters. Tickets are on sale now at ticketweb.com and more information can be found at lakepointsports.com
