Cartersville girls, Adairsville teams open hoops seasons

The Adairsville boys (1-1) split games with Armuchee and Science Hill (TN) Saturday and Monday while participating in a season opening event in Rome. The Lady Tigers (0-2) dropped a decision to Armuchee and fell again Monday to Class AAAA state power Northwest Whitfield at the Border Wars Thanksgiving Tournament in Tunnel Hill.

The Cartersville girls (0-1) also started their season Monday with a 39-34 loss at Armuchee.
