April 1, 2026 Charles Wilson / BartowSportsZone.com The Adairsville Lady Tigers rolled to a dominant 7-0 victory over the Lady Indians of Murray County on Tuesday night in a non-region girls soccer match played in Chatsworth. Adairsville wasted little time getting on the board, with Braylynn Martin scoring in just the 33rd second off an assist from Ella Edwards. Alivia Joslin then exploded for three quick goals, finding the net in the 4th, 7th, and 10th minutes. Joslin’s second and third goals were assisted by Martin and Addi Jerauld, respectively. The onslaught continued as Martin added her second goal in the 20th minute off a feed from Caelynn Disbrow. Edwards scored in the 21st minute, assisted by Chikondi Banda, and Addi Jerauld capped the first-half scoring in the 24th minute with a goal assisted by Joslin. The Lady Tigers took a commanding 7-0 lead into halftime. Lady Tigers coach Dave Sexauer was pleased with the complete team performance on a grass field. “We had the opportunity to play on a grass field tonight, which took us a little to get used to as the ball moved much more slowly than it does on a turf field,” the coach said. “Tonight’s matchup allowed us to play every girl on the team. We started quickly and strongly, getting the first goal in less than a minute. Our passing was on point tonight. We took advantage of passing lanes, had some perfectly placed through balls, and used our triangular work to move around the midfield.” Sexauer also commended the play of Jacksyn Elrod, Chikondi Banda, and Addi Jerauld. The Lady Tigers (12-2) will next travel to face Class AAAA Kell on Thursday at Kell High School. MURRAY COUNTY 6, ADAIRSVILLE BOYS 1 The Adairsville Tigers suffered a tough 6-1 loss to the Murray County Indians on Tuesday night in a non-region boys soccer match played in Chatsworth. Charlie Potter was busy in goal for the Tigers, making a season-high 25 saves in the losing effort. Adairsville coach John Terrell called it a rough night for his team. “Rough night for the Tigers in Chatsworth,” the coach said. “We are experiencing multiple injuries, and depth took its toll tonight. We played well for about the first 30 minutes before the wheels came off. We have had a rough few days with one of our players being in the hospital. He has started the recovery process, so we are grateful for that. The team continues to pray for him and his family during this time. We have games on Thursday and Friday before we head into Spring Break.” The loss drops Adairsville to 2-11. The Tigers will look to bounce back when they travel to face Kell on Thursday.
