Carlos Aranda of Springfield, Virginia, and Rick Cloninger of McDonough tied for eighth at 1-under par. Steve Albright of Ocala, Florida, rounded out the top ten with an even-par 54-hole total.

South Carolina, represented by Johnson, Cloninger, and Gino Berchiatti, won the team title with a 6-under par total, surpassing Team Utah (McMillan, Brigham Gibbs, and Jon Wright) on the final day by two shots. Team Kentucky (Wise, Buddy Bryant, and Mark Knecht) finished third at 2-under par.
Branton’s Team Georgia North, which also included Bob Royak (Alpharetta) and Rusty Strawn (McDonough), tied for fifth place at 1-over par.
The host team representing Cartersville Country Club fell eleven spots on the final day to finish 23rd. David Coleman’s 39th-place finish led the local senior squad. Mike Hefner was 43rd, and Charles Wilson placed 86th.
The best two individual scores in each round counted toward the three-man team totals.
The event featured many of the top senior amateur golfers in the world and helped raise $10,000 for the local charity, Advocates for Children.
