River Ridge (10-7, 7-5 in 7-AAAAA-A) scored a single run in the fifth inning and one more in the seventh, but Collum struck out two in the final frame and got a fly ball out to end the Knights’ late threat in the seventh.

Casey Patterson, Jordan Reed, and Jake Collum all singled to load the bases for the Colonels in the second. After two strikeouts, Brett Gaddy coaxed an RBI walk to give Cass a 1-0 lead. Campbell then delivered a two-out, bases clearing triple to right field that made the score 4-0.
