Bartow County resident Spencer Fields won the 43rd Rocket City Marathon December 14 in Huntsville, Alabama and took home the top prize of $1,000. Fields, 22, finished the race in 2 hours, 25 minutes and 9 seconds — 52 seconds ahead of runner-up Andrew Lesser, 29, of Eaton, Colorado. The field included over 1,000 runners.
