Woodland senior McKenna Trapheagen successfully defended her Class AAAAA individual state title and the Woodland Lady Cats finished as state runner-up Friday at the GHSA State Cross Country Championships hosted at Carrollton High School. Trapheagen, who improved her championship time by more than 40 seconds from 2018, completed the 5k state championship course in 18:27.67. The Georgia Tech commit finished more than 28 seconds ahead of runner up, Mackenzie Walls of Veterans, who also has committed to Georgia Tech. Lady Cats teammate and sophomore Rylee Evans also finished in the top ten with a 20:03 time to place ninth as the entire Woodland team finished in the top half of the field of over 200 runners. Senior Carli Clymer (16th, 20:44), freshman Danielle Thayer (33rd, 21:38), freshman Emma Segars (44th, 22:14), sophomore Marlee Bowles (57th, 22:42), and sophomore Erica Boatner (100th, 23:54) rounded out the Lady Cats’ performers. The team title was won by St. Pius X with all five scoring runners finishing in the top 14 places. Denmark finished second, followed by Oconee County, Chestatee, and Blessed Trinity in the top five. Justin Wachtel of Mary Persons was the individual title. The junior completed the 5k course in 16:05.50. Stegall led the Canes with a 26th place finish in 17:37. He was followed by fellow Cartersville runners Alex Rios (33rd, 17:50), Bill Archer (38th, 17:58), Levi Booth (42nd, 17:59), Colin McCann (56th, 18:13), Max Florence — the team’s only senior — (103rd, 19:23), and Sam Peters (110th, 19:32). The Cartersville girls team finished eleventh in the Class AAAA state championship race Friday morning in Carrollton. St. Pius X won a very close team championship with a four point win over Blessed Trinity and an eight-point win over Marist. Oconee County and White County rounded out the girls’ AAAA top five. The Class AAAA individual title went to Blessed Trinity’s Hannah Miniutti (18:51.49) who edged teammate Kelly Ann Sutterfield by six seconds. Lady Canes’ sophomore McKinsey Spinks paced Cartersville with a 39th place finish in 22:03. She was followed by teammates Jaxiry Betancourt (58th, 22:52), Trinity Atkins (60th, 22:56), Alice Terry (104th, 24:29), Trista Kelly (115th, 24:55), Samantha Herrera (146th, 25:46), and Metzli Munoz (165th, 27:07). WOODLAND BOYS TAKE 12TH IN CLASS AAAAA In the Class AAAAA boys championship Friday afternoon in Carrollton, Woodland placed 12th as a team led by a 43rd place finish by junior Patrick Bollwerk (18:13). Other runners for Woodland included: Tyler Jones (47th, 18:19), John Forsyth (69th, 18:29), Dylan Stermer (79th, 18:35), Ian Van Order (113th, 18:59), McKinley Chappell (140th, 19:19), and Kameron Chappell (160th, 19:41). Decatur won the 2019 Class AAAAA team title, followed by Starrs Mill, Grady, Loganville, and Rome in the top five. Loganville senior Athanasius Tesfaye won the individual title in 16:19.27.

The Adairsville Tigers held off a pesky Ringgold team 18-3 Friday night to finish their regular season at the .500 mark. Adairsville (5-5, 4-4) needed the win to stay alive in their hopes to reach the Class AAA state playoffs that begin November 15. Adairsville must now wait during a bye week to see how the GHSA’s Power Ratings pan out in Class AAA. The Tigers are in a tight race for the classification’s “At Large” berth with Cherokee Bluff. Although “unofficial” ratings are available on the GHSA website, appeals and verification of the final numbers will not be finalized until 4 p.m. on November 11. At the time of this report Saturday morning (with most Friday night results posted), Adairsville’s Power Rating is 10.20. Cherokee Bluff finished the regular season with a 3-7 record and has a current 9.38 rating. Southeast Bulloch (4-4) has a rating of 9.36. The “At Large” berth team will replace the No. 4-seed from Region 1-AAA which is paired this year against the No. 1-seed from Region 3-AAA. The teams vying for the Region 3-AAA top spot are Jenkins (8-1) and Benedictine (7-2). Those two teams square off next Friday night at Memorial Stadium in Savannah for the region title. Ringgold used a halfback pass for a 64 yard play on their first possession to threaten early. After the drive stalled, the visiting Tigers’ missed a 36-yard field goal attempt by Landon Eaker. Later in the first quarter, Eaker would boot a 25-yard field goal to give Ringgold a 3-0 lead with 0:15 remaining in the period. The two teams exchanged possessions for much of the remainder of the first half, but an Adairsville 48-yard drive following a short punt gave the local Tigers a lead they would not relinquish. Conner Crunkelton connected with Jacob Ray on a 17-yard touchdown pass to cap the six-play drive with 3:54 left in the first half. Crunkelton then ran in a direct snap untouched for an 8-3 lead as Adairsville converted a two-point play out of the “swinging gate” extra point formation. Adairsville’s Tokyo Gordon recovered a fumble to set up another threat before the intermission. An Adairsville drive was thwarted and the ball was turned over on downs at the one-yard line when Crunkelton was stopped by Ringgold linebacker Kyle White. That left the score 8-3 at the break. Following a scoreless third quarter, Adairsville kicker Emmanuel Lopez kicked a 27-yard field goal for an 11-3 lead. Although Lopez missed a 43-yarder with just over five minutes left in the game, the Adairsville defense kept Ringgold pinned deep in their own territory the rest of the way. A Lopez punt was downed at the Ringgold one-yard line with just over one minute remaining. A Ringgold fumble in the end zone was recovered by Adairsville's Garrett Ellis to seal the victory. The PAT made it an 18-3 final score and completed a night controlled by the Adairsville defense. Ringgold converted only one of two field goal attempts after early threatening drives. From that point forward, the local Tigers' defense basically shut down the visitors offense. Adairsville forced four turnovers and controlled the second half field position battle. The loss keeps Ringgold (0-9, 0-7) winless for the season. They close the season next week at Coahulla Creek. Meanwhile, Adairsville awaits the news regarding their formal post-season fate as the Power Ranking numbers accumulate. EAST PAULDING 17, WOODLAND 14 The Woodland Wildcats lost their eighth straight Friday night, falling to the East Paulding Raiders in Dallas, 17-14. Despite the low-scoring affair, both teams had opportunities to put up more points, but both had critical turnovers inside the 10-yard line. East Paulding's Jordan Harvey returned the opening kickoff 90 yards to take an early 7-0 lead. Then after a Woodland punt, East Paulding quickly moved the ball down the field. On a third and goal, Woodland’s Jayden Johnson picked off a tipped East Paulding pass and returned the interception 86 yards to the Raiders' 10-yard line. Woodland ran four plays with the possession, but turned it over with an interception. East Paulding picked off a Woodland pass at the 9-yard line to stop the Wildcats’ threat. The Woodland defense would make its mark on the contest once again, forcing a fumble and recovering at the East Paulding five-yard line. Eli Jernigan made the recovery to set up an Asa James touchdown run. James punched it in with a two-yard run but the Wildcats’ two-point conversion attempt out of the swinging gate formation failed to leave Woodland trailing, 7-6. East Paulding connected on a second quarter field goal to take a 10-6 lead at the intermission. Woodland started the second half with a long, sustained drive but James had the ball knocked loose inside the five-yard line. The Raiders recovered at their own two-yard line. The Wildcats had another drive stall inside the red zone, but later grabbed their first lead of the night midway through the final quarter. Woodland's Jahseim Henry blocked an East Paulding punt and the Wildcats recovered at the Raiders’ three-yard line. Demarcus Williams reached the end zone on the first play from scrimmage and after the senior also ran in a two-point conversion, the Wildcats were up 14-10 with 6:44 remaining. The East Paulding offense responded immediately, drove the length of the field, and regained the lead on the ensuing drive. Tyler Melson scored on a three-yard run with 4:25 left in the contest to give the Raiders a 17-14 lead. Woodland marched down the field late, but ran out of time and failed to convert a fourth down play with just seven seconds left. A senior linebacker and running back for the Colonels’ football team, Hill has been a consistent performer on both sides of the ball all season long. The son of Tawanda and Bruce Hill, Cameran is currently second on the Cass football team in tackles. He is also a four-year member of the Colonels’ wrestling team. “His play and daily leadership has been instrumental in the growth shown by a youthful team as the season has progressed,” said Cass Director of Athletics Dr. Nicky Moore. Adam Martin is the Elite Athlete of the Month for October 2019 representing Adairsville High School. A junior and three-year member of the Tigers’ wrestling team, Martin is also an avid fisherman. Martin is the Captain of the wrestling team that was Area runner-up last season. He is also an honor student with a 3.25 grade point average. “Adam never misses an optional work out before or after school,” said Adairsville head wrestling coach Ryan Torrence. “He outworks everybody, he thinks of team before self, he sets a rigorous pace in practice, he always responds with yes sir/no sir; overall Adam is the poster child for Adairsville Athletics.” The son of Chris and Michelle Martin, Adam plans to attend college in pursuit of a degree in Biology. He plans to be a wildlife biologist or a teacher, which will allow him the opportunity to give back to the community as a wrestling coach as well. He is interested in attending Kennesaw State or the University of Georgia. “Adam is an incredibly dedicated and committed young man that any coach would be honored to have the opportunity to work with,” Torrence continued. “His strengths not only yield a great athlete and student; he will certainly continue to strive to be his best in effort to influence those around him in the same way.” ​​ The October 2019 Elite Athlete of the Month for Woodland High School is Sydney Molinaro. The daughter of Paul and Desiree Molinaro, Sydney is a junior, three-sport athlete for the Wildcats. She participates in volleyball, soccer, and track and field. An outside hitter and setter for the volleyball Lady Cats, Molinaro earned All-Region 7-AAAAA, All-Bartow County, and team MVP honors. “She is a natural leader who leads by example and leads vocally on the court,” said Woodland volleyball head coach David Condon. “She also leads by example by being an ideal student.” Academically, Molinaro carries a 4.00 GPA with a 97.85 numerical average as an Honors and Advanced Placement student. She currently ranks 14th in her class of 364. The Cartersville High School Elite Athlete of the Month for October 2019 is Makiya Tart. A sophomore member of the varsity competition cheer and varsity football cheer teams, Tart is a stunt base and was a member of the Hurricanes’ 2018 Class AAAA state championship cheer team. “Makiya is a dedicated member of our competition cheer team,” said Cartersville coach Cissi Adams. “She puts in 100 percent at every practice, game, and competition. The softball future in Bartow County certainly looks bright! Woodland not only won a second consecutive Bartow County Championship, but the Lady Cats qualified for the Class AAAAA state playoffs for a fourth straight season and reached the Round of 16 before falling to Whitewater to finish the year with a 21-12 mark. Cartersville finished with a 14-13 season record, but along with Cass and Adairsville missed the state playoffs. There were very few seniors on local rosters in 2019, however, and the large number of returning players for next season should strengthen the results for all four teams. Only two of our four local high school teams are in action this week as Cartersville and Cass enjoy late-season bye weeks. Adairsville will host Ringgold in a game that is crucial to the local Tigers' playoff hopes. The visiting Tigers of Ringgold are winless on the season. Also this Friday, Woodland travels just across the county line to East Paulding where the Wildcats will take on a resurgent Raiders team that has won two straight. CARTERSVILLE HURRICANES (9-0, 5-0) are idle The Class AAAA second-ranked Purple Hurricanes defeated Chapel Hill last week and secured an eight-consecutive region championship when Troup lost to Cedartown. Cartersville has now won 78 of its last 79 regular season games and has not lost a region game since Oct. 21, 2011. The Canes travel to Troup next week to close out the regular season and are assured a home game at Weinman Stadium in the opening round of the Class AAAA state playoffs November 15. The Hurricanes will play the No. 4-seed from Region 8-AAAA. RINGGOLD TIGERS (0-8, 0-6) at ADAIRSVILLE TIGERS (4-5, 3-4) Two teams of Tigers will tangle Friday night at Adairsville High School as the winless Ringgold Tigers visit in a Region 6-AAA matchup. For Adairsville, it will be the regular season finale’ and senior recognition night. Adairsville’s four wins this season have come against Cass, Coahulla Creek, Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe, and Murray County. Those teams have combined for a 12-22 record. The five Adairsville losses this year are to teams with combined records of 29-11. Those marks bode well for the local Tigers since a win this week moves Adairsville a step closer in a quest to return to the state playoffs after missing last season. Adairsville has been in the state playoffs six times since 2011. Five of those trips have been under current head coach Eric Bishop who is 45-31 in his seventh season. Adairsville has won five of the nine games in the all-time series with Ringgold. It is a series that dates back to 2008. Adairsville won four of the first six meetings between 2008 and 2016. Ringgold won the last two years by scores of 31-10 (in 2018) and 47-42 (in 2017). Ringgold is 0-8 this season after making the Class AAA state playoffs last year with an “At Large” berth. Robert Akins — in his 13th season as the head coach at Ringgold — is 75-62 and has been in the state playoffs six times. Ringgold’s best season under Akins came in a 2013 run to the state semifinals before his Tigers fell to eventual Class AAA runner-up, Washington County. The Raiders started the year 0-6, but have enjoyed back-to-back wins over Cass and Paulding County in Region 7-AAAAA action. In the two triumphs, the East Paulding offense has averaged over 36 points per game. East Paulding holds a 9-4 advantage in the series that started in 2000. Youth football updates from Saturday's games for the Bartow County Panthers football program in the Northwest Georgia Youth Football League. The 10U and 9U Panthers picked up victories while the 12U Panthers lost for the first time this season. The 8U Panthers dropped their third straight. 10U BARTOW COUNTY PANTHERS 33, WINSTON KNIGHTS 6 Grayson Warmack scored on touchdown runs of five and 40 yards and tossed an extra point pass to Jeremy Dent as the 10U Panthers overpowered the Winston Knights Saturday, 33-6. Demarcus Ballenger had a 40 yard touchdown run while Clay Hilburn and Jeremy Dent both cashed in scoring runs of 35 yards each. Lawson Weeks added one extra point. Eli Summons recovered two fumbles and Jorian Bailey also had a fumble recovery for Bartow. Now 6-1 in the Northwest Georgia Youth Football League standings, the 10U Bartow County Panthers will host the Acworth Warriors Saturday at 12 noon at Adairsville High School. 12U DOUGLASVILLE TIGER CUBS 24, BARTOW COUNTY PANTHERS 7 The 12U Bartow County Panthers lost for the first time this season this past Saturday in Douglasville, falling to the Douglasville Tiger Cubs 24-7. The Tiger Cubs rolled up 212 total yards of offense against the Panthers including 174 yards rushing. “They were big up front and they did a good job of slowing our running game,” said 12U Panthers coach Josh McWhorter. “A combination of injuries and turnovers finally caught up to us, but take nothing away from Douglasville, they made the plays and we didn’t. It was a hostile environment and we simply didn’t help our own cause on many occasions.” The 12U Panthers offense struggled to get things going with only 70 yards rushing on 24 attempts. Bartow quarterback Brodie McWhorter was 4-for-11 for 76 yards passing, but tossed a pair of interceptions. Keve Porter caught two passes for 40 yards and Talan Nix hauled in the other catch for 36 yards. Jacob Ellis led all Bartow rushers with 63 yards on six carries. Isaiah Livsey finished with 18 yards on eight attempts and Kelson Mitchell, who had three tackles on defense, added a four yard run. Jachai Delgado, Ellis, and Bear McWhorter led the Panthers with 5.5 tackles apiece. McWhorter also forced a fumble. Nix and Mason Tompkins contributed 3.5 tackles each. Other tackle totals included: Livsey 2.5, Bryce Wilson 2, Logan Shrewbury 1.5, Brodie McWhorter 1, Cooper Moon and Bailey Berry .5 each. Charlotte elected to go for two on their final three touchdowns and failed on each attempt, but salvaged the win with a come-from-behind touchdown with only 18 seconds remaining. Cruz had seven kickoffs in the win for a 56.1 yard average, two touchbacks, and one kick out of bounds. For the season, he is 3-for-3 on field goal attempts with a long kick of 53 yards. Cartersville moved to 9-0 overall and secured the 2019 Region 5-AAAA championship Friday night with a 41-6 win over Chapel Hill at Weinman Stadium. The win was Cartersville’s 57th consecutive regular season victory and marked the program’s eighth straight region title. The Hurricanes’ win combined with Cedartown’s 15-8 victory over Troup County locked up the region title for Cartersville as they head into a bye week. Chapel Hill took a 6-0 lead in the first quarter on a four-yard run by Imani Davis, but the Canes posted 41 unanswered points in the win. Cartersville quarterback Tee Webb connected with Devonte Ross on a 41-yard scoring strike that gave the Canes a 7-6 lead after the Emmanuel Lopez PAT kick. Evan Slocum added an 8-yard touchdown run early in the second quarter for a 13-6 halftime lead. Canes’ safety Amarai Orr picked off a Panthers pass early in the third quarter to jump-start Cartersville’s second half surge. That play led to a pair of short Harrison Allen touchdown runs and Webb connected again with Ross on a 55-yard touchdown pass as Cartersville extended their lead to 34-6 with a 21-0 third period. Senior tight end Michael Abernathy caught a 10-yard touchdown pass from Webb in the fourth quarter to round out the Hurricanes scoring. Webb (photo) passed for 235 yards and three touchdowns. Ross caught two scoring passes and finished with 150 yards on six receptions. The loss drops Chapel Hill to 4-4 for the season. The Panthers are 1-3 in Region 5-AAAA. Cartersville (9-0, 5-0) closes out the regular season at Troup November 8 and has secured a home game for the opening round of the Class AAAA state playoffs which begin November 15. ADAIRSVILLE 22, MURRAY COUNTY 14 On a wet evening, the Adairsville Tigers kept their state playoff hopes alive with a 22-14 road win Friday night at Murray County. The Tigers’ win keeps their opportunity alive for at least a three-way tie for fourth place in the Region 6-AAA standings with Sonoraville and Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe. That cause was aided Friday night when LFO edged Sonoraville, 27-26. Friday night in Chatsworth, the host Indians scored on both of their first two possessions before the Adairsville defense shut down the Murray County offense for the remainder of the game. Murray’s Brannon Nuckolls caught a 17 yard touchdown pass from Cade Petty with 0:05 remaining in the first quarter for the Indians’ 7-0 lead, but Adairsville came right back down the field. The Tigers drove 80 yards and scored on a six-yard run by Eli Agnew (photo) to make the score 7-7. Savaun Henderson had a 32-yard run in the drive and quarterback Conner Crunkelton hooked up with Simmons on a 25-yard pass play in the sequence. Adairsville head coach Eric Bishop called for an onside kick on the ensuing kickoff and the Tigers recovered. A few plays later, Emmanuel Lopez booted a 40-yard field goal that put the Tigers ahead 10-7. The Indians regained the lead 14-10 after a second straight onside kickoff attempt by Adairsville was unsuccessful. Petty finished off the Murray County drive with a 27-yard touchdown run. Adairsville finished off the first half with a drive from their own 4-yard line to the Indians’ 4-yard line. Lopez kicked a 21-yard field goal to pull Adairsville to within one point at halftime. In the second half, Lopez put Adairsville back ahead with his second 40-yard field goal of the night with 4:38 remaining in the third period. The Tigers added to their 16-14 lead with Agnew’s second rushing score. The four-yard touchdown run gave Adairsville a 22-14 lead, but Murray County blocked the PAT kick to stay within one score with just over nine minutes remaining. The Indians had two more possessions down the stretch, but a turnover and a defensive stand by the Tigers’ defense helped Adairsville hold on for the eight-point win. Adairsville’s JaMaury Johnson finished with 132 yards on 20 rushing attempts. Agnew added 90 yards on 14 carries. The loss drops Murray County to 4-5 for the season and 2-5 in Region 6-AAA. The Indians have a bye week before closing the regular season at Haralson County November 8. Adairsville (4-5, 3-4) hosts Ringgold Friday night in another must-win region tilt. VILLA RICA 14, WOODLAND 8 After a scoreless first half dominated by the two defenses in rain-slicked conditions, all the points in the game were scored in the third quarter. Villa Rica drove 69 yards in seven plays to take a 7-0 lead on a 30-yard, quarterback bootleg run by Tristan Allen with 8:04 remaining in the third period. Jacob Antoine made the first of two PAT kicks for the visiting Wildcats. Woodland responded with an 80 yard drive that took seven plays to take an 8-7 lead. Asa James (photo) had three key runs in the drive and scored on a 27-yard touchdown run. He also scored the host Wildcats’ two-point conversion on a direct snap run. Villa Rica recaptured the lead in the final minute of the third quarter. Freshman fullback T.J. Harvison scored on a four-yard run to cap an eight-play, 63-yard drive. Villa Rica improved to 2-6 for the season and 1-5 in Region 7-AAAAA. They host Rome next Frdiay. Woodland, who lost its seventh straight, slipped to 1-7 for the year and 0-6 in region play. The local Wildcats travel to East Paulding next Friday. KELL 35, CASS 0 Sixth-ranked Kell took a 14-0 lead in the first quarter on a 14-yard run by junior quarterback Corbin Lafrance and a 75-yard pass from Lafrance to Camron Ball. David Mbadinga added a 10-yard touchdown run in the second quarter as the Longhorns grabbed a 21-0 lead at the intermission. Tyler Barrett scored a pair of third quarter touchdowns for Kell on runs of 35 and 60 yards for the 35-0 final score. Longhorns’ kicker Colby Kerns connected on the PAT kicks. Kell improved to 6-2 on the season and 4-2 in Region 7-AAAAA. The Longhorns host Hiram next Friday. Cass falls to 3-6 overall and 2-5 in region play with their fifth straight loss. The Colonels have a bye week before closing the season November 8 at Paulding County.

The Cartersville boys and the Woodland girls cross country teams won region championships Thursday while the Cartersville girls placed second and the Woodland boys earned a third place. The Cartersville boys cross country team captured the 2019 Region 5-AAAA championship Thursday at Clinton Farms in Douglas County with Bill Archer (16:18), Sidney Stegall (16:24), and Alex Rios (16:37) taking the top three individual spots overall. The Hurricanes other four competitors — Levi Booth (6th, 17:05), Colin McCann (9th, 17:22), Sam Peters (11th, 17:30), and Max Florence (12th, 17:44) all finished in the top 12 of 47 runners. Cartersville, with 21 team points, defeated runner-up LaGrange (40) by 19 points. Chapel Hill placed third with 88 points. The Cartersville girls team finished region runner-up after being edged by LaGrange by only four points. Chapel Hill’s Frances Butts won the individual title in 20:15 with the Panthers finishing third in a tie-breaker with Cartersville. The Lady Canes’ top three runners were in the top eight led by a runner-up finish by McKinsey Spinks (20:22). Trinity Atkins (4th, 21:20) and Jaxiry Betancourt (8th, 21:40) were close behind in a field of 44 runners. Alice Terry (19th, 22:36), Trista Kelly (25th, 23:02), Samantha Herrera (28th, 24:19), and Metztli Munoz (33rd, 25:15) rounded out the Cartersville competitors. The Woodland girls won the Region 7-AAAAA championship Thursday on their home course with the Woodland boys placing third. McKenna Trapheagen and Rylee Evans led the Lady Cats to victory by finishing first and second individually. Trapheagen covered the 5k course in 18:16. Evans’ time was 19:39. The Lady Cats finished with 32 team points and five runners among the top 12 individuals. The Rome girls were second (48) and Carrollton (81) finished third. Rounding out the Lady Cats competitors were Danielle Thayer (8th, 21:32), Marlee Bowles (9th, 21:36), Emma Segars (12th, 21:49), and Erica Boatner (37th, 24:12). The Woodland boys (70) finished third behind region winner Rome (42) and runner-up Carrollton (53). Carrollton’s Collin Jones won the individual race in 16:32. Woodland was led by Patrick Bollwerk (8th, 17:19) and Tyler Jones (9th, 17:31). Dylan Stermer (11th, 17:36), John Forsyth (18th, 18:01), McKinley Chappell (24th, 18:16), Kameron Chappell (34th, 18:42), and Ian Van Order (38th, 19:05) rounded out the Wildcats finishes in the field of 60 runners. Both Cass teams placed eighth. Jessica Zukowsky led the Lady Colonels’ runners with a 38th place finish in 24:50. Ashton Johnson (44th, 27:03), Aislynn Leckwald (48th, 30:34), Melanie Armstead (49th, 32:27), and Angel Williamson (50th, 35:09) were the other Cass competitors. Andrew Glaze led the Cass boys with a 12th place finish in 17:37. He was followed by fellow Colonels Prem Patel (35th, 18:53), Bryce Kresho (39th, 19:07), Jake Wright (51st, 20:32), Andrew Rampey (52nd, 20:33), and Tyler McKnight (53rd, 21:05). The GHSA state cross country championships will be at Carrollton High School November 1 and 2. The Cartersville girls and boys teams will compete in the Class AAAA races the morning of Friday, November 1. The boys race will be at 9 a.m. with the girls race to follow. The Woodland girls and boys Class AAAAA races will be later that same day at 12 noon and 12:45 p.m.
