Local recreation youth football capsules for September 17-18

Games reported for Monday, September 17 and Tuesday, September 18 by the Cartersville Parks and Recreation Department and the Bartow County Parks and Recreation Department.

 

September 17


8U at Hamilton Crossing Park


CARTERSVILLE WHITE CANES 20, BARTOW FALCONS 13

WHITE: Drake Curtis scored three touchdowns on runs of 74, 57, and 54 yards. Christian Davis added a two-point conversion. Curtis had three tackles. Davis and Tristan Hall added two tackles each.

FALCONS: Gary Douglas scored on a 20-yard run and added a one-point conversion. William Nachtsheim scored on a 7-yard run. Gary Douglas totaled five tackles. Walker Harris and Noah Jannsen had two tackles each. Brenlee Smith picked off a pass.



8U at Dellinger Park


CARTERSVILLE PURPLE CANES 19, BARTOW COLTS 14

PURPLE: Braden Clever scored three touchdowns on runs of 60, 39, and 31 yards. Timothy Coe, Andy Holstein, Wright Upton, and Jaiden Taylor were recognized for their defensive play.

COLTS: Karson Darby scored on a 39-yard run and added a two-point conversion. Channing Briggs scored on a 38-yard touchdown run. Darby, Malachi Evans, and Brayden Ford were the defensive standouts.



12U at Dellinger Park

CARTERSVILLE PURPLE CANES 50, CEDARTOWN BULLDOGS 0

PURPLE: Trevor Harris returned a punt 60 yards and a kickoff 60 yards for a pair of touchdowns. Khristian Lando scored on an 11-yard run. Kendrick Price had a 17-yard TD run. Cooper Moon had a one-yard TD run. Brelace Williams had a 25-yard TD pass to Asa Sheppard and a pair of two-point PATs. Isiah Livsey added 40 yards rushing. Brayden Pope had 12 tackles, including three for loss. Lando totaled ten tackles, four for loss. Livsey contributed eight tackles. Price had a defensive touchdown on a 69-yard fumble recovery and return.

CEDARTOWN: Javaris Dyer and Dontavious Harris were recognized for outstanding play on offense. Dyer had ten tackles on defense. Harris added six. Michael Gibbons and Zachary McComb were also credited for outstanding defensive plays.




September 18


8U at Hamilton Crossing Park


BARTOW TIGERS 26, CARTERSVILLE CANES GOLD 12

TIGERS: Isaiah Craig had touchdown runs of 60-, 9-, and three-yards. Jackson Jarrett threw for two touchdowns, connecting on a 57-yard scoring strike and a two-yard TD pass — both to Javon Harris. Jarrett recorded three tackles and had one interception. Brooks Rutledge and Noeah Roberts had two tackles apiece.

GOLD: Nartayvious Wilkey scored on a 27-yard run. Rhett Baxter had a nine-yard TD run. Jermaine Morgan totaled three tackles. Baxter and one tack and one interception.



10U at Hamilton Crossing Park


BARTOW BUCS 14, BARTOW FALCONS 6

BUCS: Paul Lanier rushed for 110 yards and had touchdowns runs of 40 and 30 yards. Landon Lamb had seven tackles. Dawson Holbrook contributed six tackles. Ezekiel Helton and Lanier added five tackles each.

FALCONS: Elijah Beaulieu scored on a 40-yard TD run. Micah Pittman, Malakai Keita, and Beaulieu totaled four tackles each. Eli Simmons added three tackles.


BARTOW STEELERS 20, CARTERSVILLE BLACK CANES 13

STEELERS: Malachi Harris scored on a pair of four-yard touchdown runs and finished with 81 yards rushing. Kyron McClendon added a 30-yard TD run and 87 rushing yards. McClendon had ten tackles on defense and Harris added five.

BLACK: Hudson Lusk rushed for 49 yards including a five-yard touchdown run. Carter Rice had a 20-yard touchdown pass. Will Camp totaled six tackles. Demontre Cochran and Lusk made five tackles each.



12U at Cunningham Stadium (Old Cass HS, Grassdale)


CALHOUN JACKETS 26, BARTOW FALCONS 0

FALCONS: Tanner Toups had four tackles, three for loss. Sean Sisk had a fumble recovery.


CALHOUN HURRICANES 18, BARTOW TIGERS 0

TIGERS: Adrian Harris Jr. had three tackles on defense. Harris also added 35 yards rushing on offense and a 40-yard kick return.
