Bartow County Little League 12U softball eliminated by Florida at Southeast Region tourney

The Bartow County Little League 12U softball team had their tournament run come to an end Tuesday with a 2-0 loss to Lake Mary (Florida) Little League at Southeast Region Park in Warner Robins.
Both of Florida’s runs scored in the bottom of the second inning, and Bartow managed just one base hit in the game — a sixth-inning single by Maci Walker.
The Georgia state champions were eliminated from the Little League Softball Southeast Region Tournament after their second loss, ending with a 1-2 record.
In Tuesday’s loss to Florida, Walker and Kallaway Crenshaw were strong in the pitching circle. Walker made the pitching start for Bartow, allowing two earned runs on three hits and two walks with one strikeout in the first 1-⅓ innings. Crenshaw worked 3-⅔ scoreless innings yielding one hit and one walk with two strikeouts.
The Bartow County team went 3-0 to win the Georgia state title in early July and finished their entire tournament run with a 4-2 mark.
