Lady Tigers power past Pepperell

The Adairsville softball team pounded out 13 hits and cruised to a 14-1 home win over Pepperell on Monday night in four innings.

Adairsville took a 3-0 lead in the second inning and added eleven more runs in the bottom of the third inning to put the game away.

Maddie Baggett earned the pitching win for the Tigers by scattering five hits without issuing a walk. She struck out seven.

Ashlyn Carlton (two doubles, two RBI), Taylor Evans (two doubles, three RBI), Lily Roberts (triple, four RBI), Brie Patterson (double), and Riley Mounger produced two hits each for Adairsville. Kylie Perine (RBI), Ansley Powell (RBI), and Alivia Joslin added one hit.

The loss dropped Pepperell to 0-3 on the season.

The Lady Tigers (2-0) play at Christian Heritage on Thursday at 5 p.m.
