The Cartersville Lady Canes delivered a dominant performance at Weinman Stadium, shutting out the Cedartown Lady Bulldogs 7–0 in a match controlled from the opening whistle.

The Lady Canes continued their attack in the second half. Nicklas secured her second goal of the night with a well‑placed header to the right side of the net. The final goal came from freshman center defender Sofia Mayorga, who celebrated her first high school career goal, sealing the 7–0 victory and improving Cartersville’s region record to 3–1 and 5-4 overall.

Wildcats blank Colonels in a region showdown
The Woodland Wildcats struck early and held firm the rest of the way, shutting out the visiting Cass Colonels 2-0 in a Region 7-AAAA boys soccer match Friday night.
Woodland needed less than 20 minutes to take command in the game. Luis Sanchez opened the scoring in the 13th minute, firing a shot past the Cass goalkeeper to give the Wildcats a 1-0 lead. Just three minutes later, Aiden Carrillo doubled the advantage, finishing a quick sequence to make it 2-0.
That would prove to be all the offense Woodland would need.

No further scoring occurred, and the contest ended in a defensive stalemate after halftime.
